How do I start and keep a Rainy Day Fund? Free Printable Tracker

I love visual trackers for saving money. They truly are so inspiring and motivating to keep you going. Personally, I like to hang mine on the fridge, so I see it a zillion times a day.

All you have to do is pick a goal amount. Then divide that goal by 50.

Example: $500 divided by 50 is $10. So each raindrop in the savings tracker is equal to $10.

Every time you save the amount of a raindrop, you color one in. By the time you color all 50 raindrops in, you will have hit your goal!

How much money should you have for a rainy day fund?

Rainy Day funds are different than emergency funds, because they are typically for wants and not needs. Emergency fund covers unexpected expenses, whereas a rainy-day fund could be for more fun things that you want.

I love to do smaller challenges for not so fun things like yearly property taxes, or a car maintenance fund, but this tracker can be used for anything you like!

This could be a splurge fund for a hair salon appointment, a wardrobe shopping spree, a girls night out, or a weekend getaway with your husband.

Pick a goal, and stick to it!
