Grocery Price Showdown: Gibsonia, PA
This week our meal plan was all about easy, simple, and low cost. We made 6 Dinners for under $60 at Walmart. Our prices were from the local Super Center in the Gibsonia, Pennslyvania area.
Now I know that not everyone likes to shop at Walmart, so we did some price comparing with other grocery store options in this area. We stayed within 20 miles of the zip code: 15044, since most people live, work, and shop within 20 miles.

- Aldi
- Target
- Salem’s Market
- Community Supermarket
- Save A Lot
- Fresh Thyme
- Giant Eagle
These were all stores that offered online shopping for delivery or for pick-up orders.

What if we shopped multiple stores?
If we had the time and energy to shop both Aldi & Target this week, we may be able to save a few bucks! By only buying what was cheapest at each store, our total would have been $61.73.
That was definitely cheaper than each stores total ($71.95 & $78.65), but it was still $2.00 more expensive than the total at Walmart this week!
It could still be worth grabbing some good deal at each store, but it would probably be cheaper to still pick up some staple items at Walmart.
