Smart Grocery Planning: 6 Dinners for Under $60 (Week #90)
This week’s 6 Dinners Under $60 meal plan comes in at just $55.60 from the Walmart Super Center in Warren, Michigan, and that total includes a lot of basic pantry-style ingredients. We’re talking items like rice, seasonings, cornbread mix, soy sauce, and half & half that many of you may already have on hand. That means your final total could easily come in lower than mine, depending on what’s already in your kitchen.
As always, this menu is built to be realistic and flexible. We’re stretching a 5-pound family pack of chicken into three separate meals, mixing in budget-friendly proteins like ground turkey, ground pork, and frozen fish, and keeping the sides simple and familiar.

Grocery List for the Week

If you want to see the full shopping list on Walmart in your area, all you have to do is click my Walmart Grocery list and change the zip code to your area. *This is an affiliate link, and I do make a small commission on any purchases, but at no additional cost to you!*
**** Please note, that every once in a while, an item that I pick turns out to be regional. This means that it may be a much higher price in some areas. Always double check the list and if you see an item that is much higher than normal, just adjust as needed.
Garlic Herb Sheet Pan Chicken with Carrots & Potatoes
A simple one-pan dinner with juicy garlic herb chicken and roasted potatoes and carrots. Swap carrots for green beans or broccoli, or sprinkle with a little parmesan at the end for extra flavor.

Turkey Banh Mi Bowls
Savory ground turkey served over rice with fresh carrots and cucumber for a balanced bowl. Add sliced jalapeños for heat, swap turkey for ground chicken, or use lettuce cups if you want a lower-carb option.

Cheesy Chicken Broccoli Stuffed Shells
Tender pasta shells stuffed with chicken, broccoli, and creamy cheddar sauce for a comforting baked dinner. You can add a little cooked bacon for extra flavor or swap broccoli for frozen mixed vegetables if that’s what you have.

Tamale Pie
Seasoned ground pork layered with beans and corn, topped with fluffy cornbread for a hearty, budget-friendly bake. Ground turkey works just as well, and you can stir in a little salsa or top with sour cream for extra flavor.

Chicken Florentine with Rice
Creamy garlic spinach chicken served over warm rice for an easy skillet meal. Add mushrooms for more depth, or finish with a squeeze of lemon to brighten up the sauce.

Fish Fillets with Mashed Potatoes & Green Beans
Crispy breaded fish served with creamy mashed potatoes and simple green beans for a classic comfort plate. Add lemon or a quick tartar sauce (mayo + pickle relish) for extra flavor, or swap green beans for peas if needed.
