Grocery Price Showdown: Billings, Montana
This week we did a $100 meal plan for a family of four. This included breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a sweet treat. This meal plan at the local Walmart Super Center only cost $89.34!
W always try to see how Walmart comes to the other local stores. Are they the cheapest? Are there good deals to snag somewhere else?
Here are all the local stores that offered online shopping included:
- Town & Country
- Target
- Natural Grocers
- Albertsons
- Walmart
There were a few other grocery options, but they did not offer online shopping. Those included great stores like WinCo!

Please note that Natural Grocers did use Instacart so their total may actually be a little cheaper in store versus online.

What if we shopped multiple stores?
If we had the time and energy to shop both Target and Town & Country, we may be able to save a few bucks! By only buying what was cheapest at each store, our total would have been $102.77.
That was definitely cheaper than each stores total ($117.03 & $118.10) but it was still $13.43 more expensive than the total at Walmart this week!
It could still be worth grabbing some good deal at each store, but it would probably be cheaper to still pick up some staple items at Walmart.
