6 Fall Dinners & Dessert for $70 at Walmart (Week #40)

It is definitely starting to get cooler and feel more Fall like where I am. So, this means, my tummy is all about the comfort foods. This week we are doing quick and easy comfort foods on a budget!

I’ve added some tips about how to batch cook and pre-prep these meals as much as possible, so it’s a great week if you are short on time.

Our prices this week our from the Super Walmart in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and our total came out to $68.47. I have added everything you will need for this menu, so you can easily get this total down!

If you are not a fan of Walmart, you can always shop where you like. We know from doing price comparisons all over the US, that Walmart is typically the cheapest option for food prices.

Meals for the Week

1. Slow Cooker Teriyaki Pork Loin with Rice and Carrots

I like to slice the pork to serve it, but you can also shred it with forks. Just go with what works best for your family!

2. French Onion Chicken with Butter Parmesan Pasta and Ranch Cauliflower

Move over green bean casserole, this is my new favorite way to use French fried onions! Not a fan of ranch? Try using a buffalo sauce, teriyaki sauce, or any of your favorite seasonings to spice up your cauliflower!

3. Shepherd’s Pie with Side Salad and French Bread

We love the taste of Shepherd’s pie but sometimes we are in a hurry for time. So, lots of great options here and some tips if you have picky kids.

4. Broccoli Cheddar Chicken with Rice

This is a pretty good version of the Cracker Barrel Broccoli Chicken but not quite a copycat. For the crackers you can use any that you have already at home. So, whether that is Ritz, Club, or Saltines, go ahead and use them up!

5. Italian Pork Chops with Roasted Potatoes and Corn

This is a super versatile way to make pork chops! You could even saute them in a large skillet on the stovetop if you don’t want to use the oven. Just throw the potatoes in the air fryer and no oven required at all!

6. Carbonara Chicken Pasta with Green Beans and French Bread

Ever since I learned this method for carbonara sauce, I love doing different versions. You can always add other proteins as well. Start with bacon or add in any leftover bacon at the end. You could even make this dish with smoked sausage too!

Dessert: Strawberry Cake Cookies

This is such an easy way to make light and fluffy cookies. I am totally going to try this with some other mixes as well. I bet spice cake, chocolate cake, and even a lemon cake would be amazing!
