Grocery Price Showdown: Buckeye, Arizona

This week our meal plan was all about quick and yummy. We made 6 Dinners for under $60 at Walmart. Our prices were from the local Super Walmart in the Buckeye, Arizona.

We know that not everyone likes to shop at Walmart for whatever reason, so each week we take our weekly grocery list and we price it out at other local stores. This helps us compare prices on grocery items to make sure we are getting the best deals!

Here is the list of stores this week:

  • Target
  • Aldi
  • Fry’s
  • El Super
  • Food City
  • Basha’s
  • Safeway

These were all the local stores that offered online shopping for delivery or for pick-up orders.

Here is the grocery list that we used to compare prices at each of the stores!

Buckeye, AZ Grocery Store Prices from Cheapest to Highest

Here is how the local stores stacked up this week:

Please note the Food City, Basha’s, and El Super all used Instacart so their prices may be cheaper in store compared to online prices.

Here is the breakdown of all the grocery prices:

What if we shopped multiple stores?

If we had the time and energy to shop both Fry’s & Aldi this week, we may be able to save a few bucks! By only buying what was cheapest at each store, our total would have been $62.14

That was definitely cheaper than each stores total ($69.42 & $71.78), but it was still $2.99 more expensive than the total at Walmart this week!

It could still be worth grabbing some good deal at each store, but it would probably be cheaper to still pick up some staple items at Walmart.
