9 Salad Dressings to Make at Home!
Let’s face it salad dressing can get expensive, but it doesn’t have to be. Whether you run out of your favorite salad dressing, or just want to try a new one, you can easily make some popular ones at home!
This is especially helpful if you want to reduce your sodium and sugar intake, because salad dressings have been known to contain a lot of both.
These easy salad dressing recipes are great to have in a pinch, and most of them use common ingredients you probably already have at home!
1.Caesar Dressing
We opted for the recipe that didn’t include anchovies, but if you want it more authentic you can easily add those as well!
2. Classic Vinaigrette
You can easily switch this up by adding dried or fresh herbs as well!
3. Ginger Sesame Dressing
This doesn’t have to just be a salad dressing! You can easily use this for stir fries as well!
4. Greek Dressing
This one is getting hard to find at stores for a good price, so it’s great to be able to make it at home!
5. Honey Mustard Dressing
This is also a favorite of mine for dipping chicken strips and chicken nuggets in!
6. Italian Dressing
This dressing is a great marinade for chicken or pork as well!
7. Ranch Dressing
We use a lot of Ranch at my house, and you can easily switch this up as well. Make it spicy with a little taco seasoning. Make it creamier with some smashed avocado. Make it however you want!

Is it worth making your own Sauces?
I’m a big fan of stocking up on salad dressings when I see them at a great price. Unfortunately, this doesn’t always align with when I run out. I think it is a great skill to have to be able to make your own too!
So, while I am probably not going to make my own salad dressing every time, I do want these handy recipes in my binder in case I need one!
