Fetch Rewards

For the last 6 months, I have been testing Fetch Rewards app to see what all the fuss was about. I am happy to report that I think it is a truly awesome app where you can earn points for gift cards by scanning any receipt. The basic requirements are that the receipt must have a store name, date, and total.

As an added bonus, not only have I earned over 31,000 points in 6 months, but this app has also actually helped me clean out my wallet and purse regularly! I swear my purse sometimes weighed 20 pounds and it was all receipts!

They currently have a promotion for new customers, where you can use my code (6AMQHD) and you will start with 2,000 points and I will also get 2,000 points. This is a great starting point!

All you need to do is go to app or play store on your phone and download the Fetch Rewards App! For more information about Fetch, check out “Get Rewarded for Your Receipts with Fetch Rewards.”

Instacart

I have been using Instacart for a long time now, but I use it in a way most people don’t. I love the fact that Instacart lets me price compare almost anything to multiple stores in my area.

This information is HUGE for planning meals and grocery shopping! Some smaller stores and regional stores don’t offer online grocery shopping on their own websites, so you can still research them by using. Instacart.

This not only helps me plan out how much certain items will cost, but it can also help me figure out exactly how much my total grocery list will be. Instacart does sometimes have slightly higher prices than in store, but I would rather have a total that is slightly higher than it be less.

I have used the delivery service a few times when I was too sick to grocery shopping or when I just really didn’t want to go. I don’t use it regularly, but I totally see the appeal. They offer specials, coupons, and accept EBT/Food Stamp cards in most location. They also have a monthly subscription plan for those that plan on using the service regularly.

Free Jiffy Cookbook

I just recently received a free Jiffy Cookbook in the mail and you can too! It has great recipes for breakfast, desserts, and dinners. All of the recipes use Jiffy products, but you can use other brands as well. Simply fill out the form on their website and they will mail a book to you at no cost!

Food Saver Vacuum Sealer

We bought this vacuum sealer years ago at Walmart for about $60 and it is my favorite money and time saver! Whenever we buy meat in family packs or large sizes, we portion it out, and then vacuum it before heading to the freezer.

Make sure to always write on your plastic pouches the date and what the item is so that you can use the oldest meat first in your freezer. This will cut down on your food waste and keep your inventory fresh as well!

We bought a basic model that doesn’t have all the bells and whistles, but it works great for our needs! If you can’t afford a new one, just your local thrift stores. A friend of mine recently found one for $2 and it works like new.

The food saver brand bags can get a little expensive, so we usually buy large rolls of bags on Amazon. I look specifically at price and reviews before purchasing and have never had an issue.
