Walmart Grocery Hacks: Unlock a Week of Delicious Meals for Under $100!
Welcome back to another weekly meal plan. This week is all about yummy dishes that are quick and easy. We try to keep a nice mix of traditional family meals with some new favorites.
This plan is made for a Family of Four, so you may need to adjust based on family size and dietary needs. Maybe your kids eat breakfast and lunch at school, or you don’t eat seafood.
Totally fine! Please make any substitutions you need. Hopefully this meal plan will inspire you to create a low-cost meal plan for your family this week!
$100 Walmart Meal Plan
Strategic Grocery List:
In case you are not familiar with some of the items available at Walmart, I have included some visuals. Keep in mind that even though most products are available at all Walmart locations, some do have regional items or brands. So not all items will be exactly the same at each store.
How to Make this Meal Plan Work
I have broken down this meal plan into daily menus. This is just to give you an idea of how I would make this work. You do not have to do it this way, you can easily move the days and dishes around to suit your family.
What about Day 7?
I purposely leave Day 7 as leftovers all day long, because this is a great way to eliminate food waste. In the US, we have a bad habit of throwing away food and it gets worse every year.
Day 7 typically falls on a Saturday at my house, so we make it a challenge to use up all leftover items in our fridge before we buy groceries for the upcoming week. I challenge you to do the same!
Totally Free Printable PDF Meal Plan
So many people have told me that they like to have a physical copy of the meal plan, so we now offer a totally free PDF that you can save or print at home. We make this in black and white to cut down on ink costs.
This PDF is already sized horizontally to fit on a standard 8.5 x 11 inch piece of paper. (You can resize it if you like.)
We checked out prices at other Hartford, CT area stores, and Walmart did come out the cheapest with a total of $92.64. Here are the totals for the same grocery list at other local stores:
Hartford Area Store | Total for Meal Plan: |
Aldi | $102.68 |
Save A Lot | $129.37 |
Stop & Shop | $119.51 |
C-Town Supermarket | $97.58 |
Click on the name of each store, to see the full breakdown of the prices and how they compare!
