Meal Plan with Walmart Grocery List (Week#38)

I’m really loving this new 6 dinners and dessert for $70! Not only do I have a huge, sweet tooth, but it also challenges me to think of seasonal flavors and low-priced pantry staples.

This week due to the dock workers strike, we will be utilizing less fresh produce and rely more on frozen and canned vegetables. It’s always good to have options, so I wanted to make sure we were using them.

Our prices this week are from Mankato, Minnesota at the local Super Walmart. We came really close to our budget with a total of $69.88. Only 12 cents to spare!

Due to the hurricane and the strike, I have a feeling that some items may go out of stock in different areas, so please adjust as needed. Make sure you use what you already have and also keep your eyes out for good deals!

Meals for the Week

1. Ground Sausage & Pepperoni Pizza with Spinach Side Salad

This is a classic pizza that can easily be changed to your preferences!

2. Sweet Dijon Chicken with Potatoes & Broccoli

Don’t forget that you can use chicken breasts or tenderloins for this one too!

3. Cheesy Eggplant Pasta Bake

This dish easily reminds me of an Eggplant Parmesan but more subtle for those picky veggie eaters!

4. Turkey & Sausage Chili over Rice with Corn

This is a great base, and you can easily switch out the ground turkey for ground pork or ground beef too!

5. Creamy Italian Sausage Soup with French Bread

This is another one that is easy to switch out! Maybe you have kale instead, that will work great!

6. Cottage Spinach Chicken

If you are not a fan of cottage cheese you can easily use ricotta instead. If texture is your issue, you can put the cottage cheese in a food processor and it will have a closer texture to ricotta too!

Dessert- Maple Peanut Butter Balls

My kids really liked these the first way, but I was not a fan of the chocolate chips being so hard compared to the peanut butter. So, my easy fix was to melt the chocolate and dip them instead!
