Low Budget Crockpot Dinners (under $2 per serving!)

Crockpot meals are a great way to have a homemade dinner without all the work of cooking for hours. It is very much a set it and forget style of cooking.

These meals work great for busy schedules, not a lot of time in the evenings, and when you just don’t have energy to cook at the end of the day.

We try to keep our meals big, filling, and low cost, so check out these crockpot meals ranging from $8 to $15.

Crockpot Dinners on a Small Budget

Most of these meals take between 5-7 hours on low, so you may adjust the cooking time if you prefer to cook on high.

I like doing this one over pasta, but you can easily change it to be over rice instead.

This is a great meal idea if you have leftover vegetables that you want to use up! You can literally use almost any veggies in this dish!

Depending on your flavor preferences, you can adjust the curry to your liking. We go light, but others may like a stronger flavor!

This one comes out very similar to scalloped potatoes with ham that is traditionally made in the oven.

I adore this one and the leftovers are even better to me. This one can also be switched to be served over rice if you like!

I love the versatility of this one. If you are not feeling nachos you can easily serve this over rice, use it as the filling for tacos or burritos, and it is even good over baked potatoes!

This is a fun twist on pork chops with applesauce, and it is makes your house smell amazing!!

This one is a little higher priced but if you already have the makings for a salad that will help your cost go down. I love this one all year round!

Variations & Substitutes

Every family has different tastes, so you can easily switch out ingredients to suit your family. Also don’t feel locked into the ingredients, it really doesn’t matter if you use pasta or rice, right?
