Well, I was right Aldi came out cheaper than Harris Teeter by $7.73 (about 10%).
I was impressed that Aldi came out really close to our goal of $60 though!
Food for Thought
Even though Aldi came out pretty close, let’s see if shopping both stores can help us get under the $60 mark. We will just buy the cheapest items at each store and see if that saves us more money.
Our total for both stores would have been $60.92. That would be an additional savings of $6.20 (about 9%).
That doesn’t sound like a super big difference but that could add up week to week. So, if I had the time and both places were convenient, I believe the savings could be worth it!
