Easy Summer Meals at Walmart (6 Dinners for $60)-Week #22
Summer has started for us and the temperature are rising. This means I want quick and easy meals that don’t heat up the house.
We will be utilizing the grill, air fryer, crockpot, and stove top so we don’t have to use our oven. All these meals are quick and easy to make, and you can also pre-cook and prep ahead if you have time!
If you had to buy everything on our grocery list, your total would be $59.18 at the Super Walmart in Mesa, Arizona. We do assume you have a few basic items like mayo, vinegar (any kind), white sugar, mustard, your preferred cooking oil, and your favorite seasonings.
***We updated this menu on March 13th, 2025, and surprisingly our total improved! Instead of $59.18 (in June 2024) our new total is only $59.01!!!*****
I am also pretty confident that you may have some of these items already at your home. So, make sure you check your pantry, fridge, and freezer before going to the store!
Our Meals this Week

Grocery List

If you want to see the full shopping list on Walmart in your area, all you have to do is click my Walmart Grocery list and change the zip code to your area. *This is an affiliate link, and I do make a small commission on any purchases, but at no additional cost to you!*
**** Please note, that every once in a while, an item that I pick turns out to be regional. This means that it may be a much higher price in some areas. Always double check the list and if you see an item that is much higher than it should be adjust accordingly.
Yummy Meals this Week:
1. Barbeque Chicken with Succotash & Homemade Potato Chips
This one is a classic to me because you can easily change up the flavor by using different kinds of BBQ sauce. Don’t forget to try out some fun seasoning on your potato chips too!

2. Tropical Tacos
I love a little unexpected touch, and the pineapple definitely does that here. If you are a not a fan of pineapple you can easily switch it out for peaches, mango, and so much more!

3. Grilled Chicken Ceasar Wraps with Strawberries
This is one of those super easy dinners that you can totally prep beforehand. If you are not a fan of Ceasar dressing, you can switch that out for Ranch dressing if you like!

4. Tuna Burgers with Homestyle Fries
I love the way you can change this up based on your mood with a little different seasoning. You can also switch this up and use canned salmon or canned chicken instead of tuna!

5. Chicken Tetrazzini Pasta with Sweet Peas
I feel like sweet peas are a classic choice here but you can easily swap them for any vegetable. Don’t want to use cream of mushroom soup? No biggie, you can easily make your own using fresh mushrooms and milk! Using the can is quicker but you can easily adapt if needed.

6. Pepperoni Pizza Rice with Green Beans
This is still a classic dish that can be adapted in so many ways. Just think about whatever you like on a pizza and include it here. You want pineapple on a pizza? Throw it on!

Low-Cost Fruit Options to Add:
I am a huge fan of adding fruit to dinners. This small, yummy part helps kids know they will love at least something on their plate.
So, whenever I have a little wiggle room in my budget, I try to pick up 2-3 fruits to add to meals. Here are some good options that you can grab this week! (Try mixing fresh fruit and canned fruit together for some added variety)
It’s also been shown that most Americans don’t eat enough fruit and vegetables, so add some to your dinner! (Remember you don’t need a ton of fruit either, just a 1/4 to 1/2 a cup can help fill you up at mealtime.)
So far fruit prices don’t seem great, but they don’t look awful either. I will be keeping a close eye on this for the next few months!
