Breaded Shrimp Dinner Ideas
One of my favorite plan B meal ingredients is breaded shrimp! They are great to have in your freezer and most cook up super quick in the oven or air fryer.
Of course you can serve these up plain with some fries, but you can also elevate breaded or fried shrimp with just a few common ingredients. Here is a list of fin meals we have made with a few different varieties of freezer shrimp!
Frozen Shrimp Dinner Recipes
1. Mexican Shrimp Bowl
This is kind of unexpected to have a Mexican Shrimp, but it’s actually really tasty. You can easily switch out the ingredients to whatever you have or that you normally like on a taco rice bowl. Try with a fun salsa too like pineapple or mango!
2. Shrimp Po Boy Sandwiches
These sandwiches are a great combo of crunchy shrimp and soft bread. I do like to toast my bread first so they don’t get soggy from the remoulade sauce. If you can’t find remoulade sauce at the grocery store, it is very easy to make at home. You can also use a basic tartar sauce as well.
3. Honey Buffalo Shrimp
This is such an easy way to add flavor to breaded shrimp! This super quick sauce is perfect for shrimp that you can top rice with or even serve it over noodles.
4. Spicy Asian Shrimp
We love this one for using with stir-fry veggies or even eggroll in a bowl. I play around with sauce and taste as I go to find that perfect balance of creamy, tangy, and spicy.
5. Shrimp Parmesan Sliders
I know we typically see marinara sauce and parmesan cheese with chicken or veal, but it totally works with shrimp too!
6. Popcorn Shrimp Tacos
This is definitely a huge hit at my house! Sometimes I use premade coleslaw and other times I make it myself. Such an easy and quick dinner for a crazy night.
7. Shrimp Cesear Salad
I am definitely in my Cesear Salad era right now! I recently had this for dinner, and it was simply amazing!
8. Shrimp Fried Rice
You’ve seen fried rice before made with chicken, pork, and regular shrimp….but now you have to try it with breaded shrimp. So easy to make and seriously good eats!
9. Coconut Shrimp Stir Fry
These coconut shrimps are great and they come with a little sauce pack that is seriously yummy. Simple bake or air fry the shrimp, then toss in the sauce. Serve this with veggies and rice. So simple and totally worth it.
10. Hawaiian Shrimp Bowls
I love the combo of coconut and pineapple. Add in the sweet sauce from the box, and it is so yummy. I just serve this with rice and a little squeeze of lime or lemon juice!
Frozen Fried Shrimp Ideas
I hope these flavor combos of fried shrimp inspire your next easy Plan B Meal! Just because we have no energy or time, does not mean we have to skimp on taste. I will say that these frozen shrimps are not always the cheapest at Walmart.
Thankfully most grocery stores have these as well. My local stores have them located near the meat department (not the freezer aisles). Keep an eye out for weekly sales because I tend to see these boxes of shrimp go on sale BOGO or half off pretty regularly!
