$70 Dinner Meal Plan at Walmart (Week #46)
We are finally back with a “normal” meal plan this week. We are doing 6 Dinners plus Dessert for under $70. We priced this menu out at the Oklahoma City, OK Walmart and our total came out to $68.70.
We are using a lot of common ingredients, and we are also making some of these ingredients multitask this week. Keep an eye out for ways to prep ahead and make this meal plan even easier!

Meals for the Week on a Budget
1. Ranch Chicken with Rice and Broccoli
I am huge fan of ranch seasoning and one pot meals, so this is just perfect for me!
2. Greek Turkey Burgers and Fries
I absolutely adore Greek flavors, so this hamburger is just perfect! Even though their is spinach in the burgers, you can easily add lettuce and tomato to top your burgers if you like!
3. Slow Cooker Hawaiian Chicken with Rice
This is really a dump and go crock pot meal so it is beyond simple! If you don’t have chicken breasts, you can easily substitute chicken thighs or tenders.
4. Tex Mex Mac & Cheese with Spinach Side Salad
Just in case you need to, you could always use 2 boxes of mac and cheese. My family only uses one because my kids are still pretty small. Thankfully these boxes are only $1 each so it’s and easy way to adapt this one!
5. Bean & Cheese Burritos with Roasted Potatoes and Corn
I love simple dishes, and this one is definitely simple. That means you can easily adapt this one as well. Have leftover shredded chicken or ground turkey/beef? You can add that to your burritos as well. Want to change it to enchiladas? Just top with enchilada sauce before you put it in the oven!
6. Italian Peppers and Sausage Pasta
This is another easy pasta dish that you can make with any pasta shape! We have also made this with smoked sausage as well, so work with what you already have at home.
Dessert: Pineapple Angel Food Cake
True angel food cake requires a special pan and egg whites, so I usually just don’t make it. This version is so simple that you can make it any night of the week! As an added bonus, you can switch up the fruit to whatever flavor you like too!
Low-Cost Fruit Options to Add:
I am a huge fan of adding fruit to dinners. This small, yummy part helps kids know they will love at least something on their plate.
So, whenever I have a little wiggle room in my budget, I try to pick up 2-3 fruits to add to meals. Here are some good options that you can this week! (Try mixing fresh fruit and canned fruit together for some added variety)
It’s also been shown that most Americans don’t eat enough fruit and vegetables, so add some to your dinner! (Remember you don’t need a ton of fruit either, just a 1/4 to 1/4 a cup can help fill you up.)
