One Pot Meals on a Low Budget!

This week, I have been super busy so one-pot meals are always needed to make sure that dinner is quick, simple, and yummy!

I’ve tried to include a variety of flavors for these meals as well as use ingredients that are low cost and mostly shelf stable.

We were able to keep all the meals under $10, so the cost per serving can be as low as $0.92 and the rest stay under $1.40 per person.

Quick One Skillet Meals

These are very comparable to a Hamburger Helper style meal but made with low cost ingredients.

Kielbasa is already precooked, and we pair it with instant rice to make this meal ready in about 20 minutes!

For this one you can easily use leftover chicken, or if in a pinch grab a rotisserie chicken or precooked chicken.

Creamy Garlic Chicken is so yummy and reminds me of a chicken pot pie! (without all the baking and time, it takes to make one)

You can easily switch out the spaghetti noodles to make this more of a taco mac using elbow noodles!

I was surprised how quick and yummy this turned out. It also was not as mushy as if it was made in a crockpot.

This is one of my favorites! You can easily substitute the fresh broccoli with frozen or any other vegetable you like.

This is more about lasagna flavor not lasagna noodles. If we actually used lasagna noodles it easily would have been more than $10!

This is a classic dish at our house, and you can easily switch out the ground beef for ground turkey or ground pork!

Variations & Substitutes

Every family has different tastes, so you can easily switch out ingredients to suit your family. Also don’t feel locked into the ingredients, it really doesn’t matter if you use a different cut of chicken, right? Just substitute with what you already have if possible!

I hope you enjoy these One Pot/ One Skillet meal ideas!
