Meet Jen – The Mind Behind Low Dough Family

Hi, I’m Jen! I’m a stay-at-home mom of two lively kids that aren’t so little anymore, and I’ve spent over a decade fine-tuning the art of stretching our grocery budget. For my husband and me, living frugally has always been about providing our family with the stability and freedom to focus on what matters most.

Our financial journey began back in 2008 during the economic downturn. Determined to adapt and thrive, we committed to living on a single income, even as a two-income family. This approach allowed us to save during the good times and gave me the ability to stay home full-time with our kids when they needed it most.

Why Low Dough Family?

When our family first started looking for ways to cut costs, I found endless tips on cutting luxury spending, like dining out or vacations. But the advice I truly needed was how to keep our weekly grocery bills low and our meals fulfilling and nutritious—all on a budget under $50,000 a year. My husband’s encouragement led me to develop my own solutions, and now I share them with families like yours.
