How to Turn One Turkey into 3 Delicious Dinners for Under $30 (MM#26)

Turkey isn’t just for Thanksgiving. It’s one of the most affordable and versatile proteins you can use any time of year. Right now, whole turkeys are popping up on sale, making them a great addition to your fridge and your meal plan.

This week’s mini menu shows how far one turkey can really go. These dinners could easily fit into Thanksgiving week, but they’re just as delicious any other time.

Our total at Walmart for 14 items was only $29.15, but if you already have a few basics like BBQ sauce, soy sauce, and ramen noodles, your total could be even less.

Grocery List Needed for the Mini Menu

If you want to see the full shopping list on Walmart in your area, all you have to do is click my Walmart Grocery list and change the zip code to your area. *This is an affiliate link, and I do make a small commission on any purchases, but at no additional cost to you!*

**** Please note, that every once in a while, an item that I pick turns out to be regional. This means that it may be a much higher price in some areas. Always double-check the list and if you see an item that is much higher than normal, just adjust as needed.

Roast Turkey with Mashed Potatoes & Green Beans

Roasting a whole turkey may take time, but it’s mostly hands-off and the result is tender, flavorful meat for several meals ahead. You can also use frozen green beans or homemade mashed potatoes if you prefer, and make gravy from pan drippings for extra flavor.

Turkey BBQ Flatbreads with Spinach Salad

Turkey BBQ flatbreads are smoky, cheesy, and full of flavor, paired with a simple spinach salad for a fresh touch on the side. If you don’t have flatbreads, you can use tortillas or sandwich rolls and swap the spinach for lettuce or mixed greens, depending on what’s already in your fridge.

Turkey Ramen Bowls

Turkey ramen bowls are warm, comforting, and a great way to turn leftovers into something completely new. The spinach adds color and freshness, but you can swap in any quick-cooking veggie like frozen peas or broccoli, or use rice or spaghetti noodles if ramen isn’t on hand.
