8 Recipes to Make with Canned Mandarin Oranges

Mandarin oranges are a definitely a family favorite in our house! We love them with cottage cheese, yogurt, or just as a fruit side with dinner.

Did you know that they are actually really fun to cook with too? Yup! I occasionally find canned mandarin oranges on sale, and will stock up so I can use them all year long.

1. Fruity Chicken Salad

This added sweetness of apples and oranges, makes it a perfect lunch to pack or a great brunch addition!

I love the colors in this, but you can bump it even more by adding red bell peppers or red onions to the mix!

3. Mandarin Salsa Chicken

You can really make salsa out of any fruit, so of course we had to make one out of sweet canned mandarin oranges!

I love this one not just for the sweetness, but also the unexpected crunch and saltiness from the crispy onions!

This salad really hits the spot and scream “Spring” or “Summer” to me!

This reminds me of an ambrosia salad but so much better with the lemon or lime yogurt. You can also totally use Greek Yogurt as well!

I was unsure of this one at first, but it actually pairs really well with dishes that have a very strong or bold flavor. Think of this salad almost as a palette cleanser!
