8 Easy Recipes to Make with Pizza Dough
We talked last week about making our own pizza dough. Not only is super easy, use basic ingredients, but it is actually very versatile as well. Pizza dough can be used for lots of fun savory dishes as well as sweet ones as well!
Today we cover some of my favorite ways to use pizza dough! These recipes can be used with homemade dough, dough that is already made at the store, or you can use a pizza dough mix.
Keep in mind you do need to let the dough rise for at least 20 minutes before you start these recipes. If you want your dough to be airy and lighter, you will want to let it rise at least 1 hour.
*Pro Tip: Some of these dishes can actually be “proofed” again before baking and that will let them poof up even more!*
What to make with Pizza Dough?
1. Cinnamon Rolls

2. Soft Baked Pretzels
I cannot stress the importance of greasing your parchment paper before placing your boiled pretzels on it. I skipped this step and mine stuck to the paper. I was able to remove it, but my pretzels did not look as happy afterwards. 🙁
3. Garlic Knots
Personally, I like to bake these in a casserole or baking dish, so when I pour the butter on them, it lets them soak up all the goodness!
4. Focaccia Bread
This is a great idea to use up odds and end leftovers like a few mushrooms, slices of onion or tomatoes, etc. The possibilities are endless with this one!
5. Chicken and Spinach Pockets
These are basically just fun stromboli or calzones you can make at home. I love making pizzas with leftovers, so now I can make baked sandwiches as well!
6. Ham & Cheese Hot Pockets
Have you seen the price of Hot Pockets? Well, now I will totally just make them myself! This is really good with leftover Philly cheesesteak, onions, peppers, and cheese as well.
7. Money Bread
This is always a fun one to do for breakfast or brunch!
8. Mini Pretzel Pigs
Warning! Do not make a ton of these and take them to a potluck. You will forever be asked to make these for every event! Ask me how I know……..
