11 Canned Pineapple Recipes that you will Fall in Love with!
I am a huge fan of canned pineapple. Not only is it a great snack or easy addition for dessert, but it can also be a great item to have on hand in your pantry. When fresh produce is a little too high for my budget, I love to fill in with canned fruits like pineapple.
This way we don’t have to skip fruit and we all have happy bellies! Occasionally, I find canned pineapple on sale and stock up too. This is how I ended up with so many great ideas of ways to use pineapple.

Pineapple for Breakfast
I know that sounds a little crazy, but you can totally use pineapple to make a yummy breakfast! (Not just for kids either, these are loved by adults too!)

1. Pineapple Yogurt Parfait
This is a super simple breakfast for when you are short on time. Just mix together any flavor of yogurt, granola, and some drained pineapple!
2. Pineapple Toast
I love to make this breakfast, and it could not be any simpler! Start with your favorite bread or bagel toasted, then spread on some cream cheese, top with pineapple tidbits, and a drizzle of honey!
3. Tropical Smoothie
Smoothies are always a hit at my house especially in the summertime when you don’t want a heavy or hot breakfast! Mix together in a blender some coconut milk, banana, pineapple chunks, and vanilla yogurt. Occasionally I add in ice cubes or milk, but you can totally play that by ear.

4. Teriyaki Chicken Bowls
This is just such a yummy dinner that can easily be switched up every time. Start with some chicken or any protein you like. Sauté it in a pan with some stir fry veggies then top it with teriyaki sauce. Add in your pineapple chunks and then serve it over rice or noodles.
5. Hawaiian Pizza
I know the internet has people convinced that pineapple does not belong on a pizza, but just to set the record straight, pineapple totally works on a pizza. Top your crust with your favorite sauce, then sprinkle on the cheese, chopped ham, chopped bacon, and pineapple tidbits! Bake until bubbly and you will have a feast for dinner.

Whether you are a going to a luau themed barbeque or just want to make your boring coleslaw pop…. just add some crushed pineapple to the mix! This bright and sunny coleslaw is always a hit!
7. Pineapple Rice
This side dish is perfect to go with almost any dinner you want to add a little extra pop of flavor. I like to pair this with strong flavors to mellow it out. Think of a smokey BBQ sauce, or even a heavy soy sauce dish. The pineapple adds a bit of freshness to the mix!

8. Pineapple Jello Cups
Maybe this a throwback to my childhood, but nothing screamed spring dessert more than a Jello cup! Start with any Jello flavor you like, add drained pineapple to the mix. Once it is set, serve it with a dollop of whipped cream!
9. Pineapple “Foster” Sundae
Move over bananas, we have a new fruit in town! I like to sauté pineapple tidbits in a little juice, butter, and brown sugar. Get it nice and hot so it’s all bubbly and then serve it over vanilla ice cream. This really is a great end on a hard day!

10. Pineapple Upside Down Cake
This classic dessert is so easy and really all you need is yellow cake mix, maraschino cherries, and pineapple rings! (Of course, you will need the additional items that the cake mix requires, but nowadays they don’t all need the same, so refer to your box cake mix to find out anything else you need.)
11. Pineapple Whip
Ever have Dole Whip at Disney? Well, you can totally make this at home, and it is so simple. Drain your pineapple and spread out on a plate. Pop it in the freezer for a few hours to get cold. Once they are hard, add them and whipped topping and honey to a blender or food processor. Hit the button and watch your Pineapple Whip form!
